Design.

It started with a well-defined mission specification and a clean sheet of paper to design the ultimate jet aerobatic aircraft that is ultra-compact, fast, agile, cost-effective and stylish. The UJ1672A has been designed using aerospace design methods and proven technologies to minimise risk and the time for development.

Design Philosophy

The UJ1672A has been designed for low development time, purchase, operating and maintenance costs and for the pilot to experience the pure forces of flying.
  • Conservative design to ensure feasibility, reliability and safety
  • Simple metallic and composite part manufacture
  • Compact size
  • Very high performance
  • Enhanced aerodynamics for ultra-manoeuvrability
  • High impact no-flare landings
  • Low-part count and complexity
  • Use off-the-shelf proven components
  • Unique stylish shape
  • Lightweight
  • Low-cost
  • Ability to be tailored for different markets

Design Process

The American federal aviation regulation 23 (FAR-23), American military aviation regulation (MIL-A-8860) and European aviation safety agency 23 (CS-23) airworthiness standards have been utilized throughout the design process.

Design Work

The forward fuselage shape is unlike anything that has existed before and a significant amount of engineering design work was required to develop this configuration. It is this unique forward fuselage configuration that gives the UJ1672A its ultra-attributes. It's so groundbreaking that we're unable to disclose it for business reasons.
  • Aerodynamic, structural and manufacturing design for the aircraft structure.

  • Landing gear design
  • Aircraft systems design: flight control, electrical, fuel, environmental, instrumentation and pilot escape
  • Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis
  • Wind tunnel testing
  • 3D CAD model of the aircraft incorporating the structure, powerplants, landing gear and systems
  • Human engineering design and experimentation for the pilot-aircraft interface
